In the first ambient-like part of the piece dark tree, Cipa and his fellow musicians explore the mirror effects of sound
in space before a compositional order is established, dynamics take shape and suspense builds. This suspense is
never released but instead replaced by a reverberation, a curious sense of beauty that arises from the friction
between chaos and order, noise and sound: a unique sound composed of cello harmonics, plucked piano strings, a
jazzy trumpet line, mellow clarinet tones, tender bass trombone and analogue synthesizers – all built on warm and
soft piano patterns.
